PFC Botev Plovdiv expresses its profound grief over the tragic passing of the club’s president, Iliyan Filipov.
The club’s management, players and staff extend their deepest and most sincere condolences to his family, loved ones and friends.
Iliyan Filipov will forever remain a part of the history of Botev Plovdiv. His contribution to saving the club in the summer of 2025 and his dedication to the “yellow-and-black” cause will be remembered by everyone in our family.
His name will remain etched in history in golden letters for generations to come through the successful completion of the reconstruction of Hristo Botev Stadium, which has transformed it into the most modern sports facility in Bulgaria.
In this difficult moment, we stand together with his family, loved ones and friends.
May he rest in peace.
