Football players of Botev (Plovdiv) visited a home for children deprived of parental care “Princess Maria Luisa” in Plovdiv. On the occasion of the boarding house’s 100th anniversary, Ivelin Popov, Lachezar Baltanov, Antoine Conte and the team manager of the team Filip Filipov visited the children and delighted them with a number of gifts.
The presence of Botev’s players caused real euphoria among all the children, who peppered Popov, Conte and Baltanov with questions. Amidst photos and signing autographs, the three players frequently answered questions regarding the upcoming Bulgarian Cup semi-final rematch against CSKA on Wednesday at the Hristo Botev Stadium.
Popov, Baltanov and Conte also took part in a demonstration match with the children from the “Princess Maria Luisa” home on the special playground in the boarding school. The contested battle on the pitch offered plenty of heart-pounding play and exciting moments, with the winner declared after a golden goal.
This is another social initiative in which Botev (Plovdiv) is involved. We remind you that the past match against Slavia, as well as the upcoming two home games – against CSKA and against CSKA 1948 – will be held under the sign of the charity campaign for Georgi Marinov, in which our club joined together with the “Night of Angels” foundation.
