Since joining Botev in 2022, Samuel has demonstrated exceptional professionalism and growth. To date, the speedy player has racked up 55 appearances in the yellow-black jersey (23 of which were for the reserve team) and has scored 7 goals.
In the current First League campaign, Akere has become a key player under coach Dusan Kerkez, scoring 4 goals and providing 4 assists.
Here’s a comment from the head coach:
In the current First League campaign, Akere has become a key player under coach Dusan Kerkez, scoring 4 goals and providing 4 assists. “I’m thrilled and satisfied that Akere has signed a new contract and that he will be with us for a longer period. He is a true testament to how hard work pays off. Akere has navigated through ‘football challenges’ in his career – coming from Africa, learning at Russia’s Vista academy, moving to Botev’s reserve team, and now being an important player for us. He’s a great guy with a hard-working character, and most importantly for me, he shows a desire to improve himself every day,”
PFC Botev congratulates Samuel Akere and wishes him many more joyful moments in yellow and black!
