Botev Plovdiv won 3:0 over Dobrudzha Dobrich in a match from the 30th round of the First League. The match was played at the Druzhba Stadium in Dobrich.
The “Canaries” were the better team on the field throughout the entire 90 minutes and deservedly congratulated themselves on the ultimate success.
Already in the 5th minute Nedelev could have opened the scoring, but from the edge of the penalty area he shot inaccurately. In the 15th minute Tsonov deflected towards Soldo, and the defender’s shot went wide.
During the first half, Botev’s players failed to put pressure on their hosts and no goals were scored until the break.
The second half started with an early goal by Botev. In the 52nd minute, Nedelev cleverly executed a free kick to Baloyannis, the defender continued to Nikola Soldo, who from close range fought off the home team players and scored for 1:0.
Dobrudzha tried to fight back, with players in “yellow-green” attempting shots several times, but the defense and Daniel Naumov handled the situations.
In the 74th minute, Pedro Igor scored a wonderful goal. The quick-footed player walked between two defenders and scored with a tight shot under the crossbar for 2:0.
In added time, Botev reached the third goal. Nikola Iliev provided an assist to Franklin Mascotte, who scored the final goal into an empty net.
