Botev Plovdiv FC made a serious outgoing transfer. The “Yellow-Black’s” parted ways with their most prolific foreign scorer, Antoine Baroan.
The Frenchman will continue his career in the highest level of Swiss football, moving to FC Winterthur.
Antoine Baroan joined Botev in the summer of 2021. The attacking footballer, who was born on June 24, 2000, played 75 matches with the “Canaries”, scoring 27 goals and providing 13 assists. Baroan was also awarded with an honorary plaque “Most scoring foreign goal scorer in the history of the club”. Behind him he left the Brazilians João Paulo (25) and Fernando Viana (24).
The Frenchman was part of the “yellow-black” team in the European club tournaments, and since the beginning of the 23/24 season, he took part in 12 matches, scoring 8 goals and making 3 assists.
Baroan finished the autumn half-season 23/24 as the top goalscorer in the First League.
