Botev’s reserve team achieved a valuable victory over Beroe II in the “Battle for Thrace” among reserve teams. The 18th round match of the Southeast Third League was played at Lokomotiv Stadium in Stara Zagora.
The first half ended in a goalless draw between the two teams. The second half saw a strong start for the Botev reserves, led by Iliyan Garov, who managed to score twice against Beroe.
Emil Naydenov scored another goal for Botev II in the 70th minute and Ivaylo Videv was accurate for the final 2:0 in Stara Zagora.
With this win over Beroe, Botev II has accumulated 21 points and is currently in the 13th position in the temporary standings of the Southeast Third League. In the next round, Botev’s reserves will face Sayana (Haskovo), with the date and time of the match yet to be announced by the BFU.
In other matches today, Botev’s U14 team secured a 1:0 victory over Beroe in Plovdiv, while the U17 team also triumphed 1:0 against National (Sofia).
