A beautiful goal by Nikola Iliev brought victory to Botev over Drenica

Botev Plovdiv won 1:0 over Drenica in a control match. The match was played in Antalya, and the only goal was scored by Nikola Iliev.

The two teams made an interesting clash to watch, with numerous chances in front of both goals. Dimitar Dimitrov used two different lineups in both halves.

The “Canaries” started the match more actively. In the second minute, a strong shot by Aleksa Maras was blocked by the “red-blacks” guard.

In the seventh minute, No. 7 in the “yellow-black” team opened the scoring. Pedro Igor combined with Nikola Iliev in the penalty area, and the talent of the “Canaries” with a tight shot left no chance for the goalkeeper – 1:0.

The “Red and Blacks” responded with a precise shot, saved by Daniel Naumov. In the 16th minute, Aleksa Maras came close to a second goal, after she headed in Nikola Iliev’s cross from a corner, but the goalkeeper made a brilliant save.

In the 27th minute, Anteo from Drenica was left uncovered and shot over the goal from the small penalty area, ending the interesting situations in the first half.

In the 63rd minute, Williams Chimezi found Todor Nedelev near the penalty spot, but the ensuing shot was inaccurate. In the counterattack, Limani found himself in a great position, and Slavkov, with a decisive performance, preserved the lead for Plovdiv.

In the 70th minute, Araujo shot inaccurately, and minutes later the team from Kosovo did the same. In the closing minutes of the match, Hristiyan Slavkov twice saved sure goals, and thus Botev recorded a second consecutive success in the controls.

The next control match of the “Canaries” is on January 24 against Obolon.
