Botev Plovdiv could manage to win for a third game in a row in the championship. This time The Canaries finished 1-1 against Pirin in Gotse Delchev. In the previous two games, Botev lost to Lokomotiv Sofia 2-3 and Levski 0-1.
Pirin took the lead in the 12th minute of the first half. Panayotov tried a distant shot and surprised Adam Stahovyak to score the first goal of the game. Valeri Domovchiyski could equalize in the 35th minute, but he missed from a penalty shot. In the last seconds of the first half Romario scored for 1-1 with a shot one on one against Pirin’s keeper Abdikov.
The Canaries had a lot of goal-scoring chances in the second half, but missed all of them. Botev could even lose the game – in the 85th minute the referee gave Pirin the opportunity for a penalty shot. Adam Stachovyak stopped the ball end kept the result 1-1.
