Botev Plovdiv will face Neftochimic Bourgas in the Round of 32 of the Bulgarian Cup. The draw was today, and The Canaries got one of the toughest opponents in the group of the leaders in the Bulgarian football. The first game is in Plovdiv on Septemver 18th, and the second in Bourgas on October 23rd.
The Cup-holders Beroe will play against amateur team Vidima-Rakovski, the Runner-up Levski Sofia got the absolute outsider in „A“ group Pirin Gotse Delchev, and the league champions Ludogorets faces Dunav Rousse – one of the underdogs in the Bulgaria’s second division. The other top teams in Bulgarian football – CSKA Sofia and Litex Lovech will play against second division teams Haskovo and Spartak Varna respectively.
Botev’s opponent Neftochimic returned in the top league of the Bulgarian football after almost 10 years of absence. Despite coming from a lower division, they are one of the good surprises in the championship. In the last 3 years Botev and Neftochimic played 5 interesting games in the third and second divisions – V and B group. Botev Plovdiv achieved 3 wins and two draws.
