As of this week, Avocado and Don Appetit restaurants are officially accepting payments in bitcoin. This makes them part of the growing community of businesses in Plovdiv and the country embracing the virtual currency.
In addition to the convenience of instant bitcoin payments, customers receive 10% cashback in bitcoin (satsback) with every bitcoin payment.
“We are happy that we have been preparing quality food for the first team for a year now, and today we are excited to be innovators, alongside Botev Plovdiv, in accepting bitcoin payments,” said Nikolay Dimitrov – manager of Don Appetit.
Kostadin Nenkov from Avocado Restaurant said, “I remember how Grabo.bg and their founder Srebrin Vatralov accepted bitcoin back in 2012. Back then I thought it was another pyramid. 12 years later, it looks like bitcoin will be part of the future.”
The integration of bitcoin and the 10% satsback campaign are made possible thanks to Order.bg, which helps over 20 merchants to accept payments with the digital currency. The budget for the satsback campaign is in turn provided by donations and a Salvadoran Bitcoin Beach grant aimed at creating a circular bitcoin economy.
Our club enthusiastically supports Don Appetti and Avocado and will help with know-how any of our partners who have an interest in bitcoin as a means of payment and long-term store of value.
