Today’s control meeting with CSKA 1948 is cancelled. The reason is the torrential rain that poured over Sofia and flooded the pitch.
The match was originally supposed to be played at the stadium in Bistrica. Bad weather conditions, however, led to a change of location and it was decided that the meeting would take place at the stadium next to Sofia Airport.
In the end, however, the rain continued in Sofia, which led to bad conditions at the planned second location as well. For this reason, the coaching staff decided that for the sake of the players’ health, the match against CSKA 1948 will be postponed. Instead, Botev will hold training tonight as part of the team’s camp in Pravets.
According to the plan, the next test of the “canaries” is against Botev’s backup team on July 2. The match against the second team will again be behind closed doors.
