Botev Plovdiv suffered a narrow 0:1 loss to Lokomotiv Sofia in a match from the 4th round of the First League. The match was played at the Hristo Botev Stadium in Plovdiv.
In the first minutes, there were no goal opportunities in front of both goals, and in the 20th minute, a long-range shot by Todor Nedelev was blocked by Martin Velichkov and the ball stopped in the side post.
In the 28th minute, the guests opened the scoring after a series of mistakes in the “yellow-black” defense and an accurate header by Erol Dost – 0:1.
At the beginning of the second half, a bomb shot by Mitko Mitkov hit two of Daniel Naumov’s goal posts.
3 minutes later, a shot by Baloggianis was blocked by Velichkov. In the 59th minute, Daniel Naumov demonstrated his high class and saved a sure goal after a shot by Spas Delev.
In the minutes until the end, Botev were masters of the field, exerting pressure on away team. In the 61st minute, Velichkov saved a shot by Steven Petkov.
In the 77th minute, a tight shot by Todor Nedelev went inches over the crossbar, and seconds later Enock Kwateng also failed to hit the target.
