Botev with a big transfer – signed Simeon Petrov

Botev Plovdiv made a big transfer. The “Canaries” strengthened their defense with Bulgarian international Simeon Petrov.

The 192-centimeter central defender initialed a long-term contract with the oldest Bulgarian football club.

The 25-year-old defender was most recently part of the Hungarian Videoton, and previously played for Slask Wroclaw and CSKA 1948.

Simeon Petrov is a permanent starter in the Bulgarian national team, having played 12 matches with the “lions” team so far.

“I am very happy to be part of the Botev Plovdiv family! I can’t wait to see you at the stadium and give everything for these colors! Soon on the pitch, with you behind us!”, Simeon Petrov said to the club media of the “canaries”.
