Botev’s (Plovdiv) U17 boys achieved a remarkable 2:0 success in their visit over the leader of the Elite Group (U17) – Cherno More.
The young “Botevists” totally outplayed their peers from Cherno More throughout the 90 minutes of the match. In the 10th minute of the match Christian Hadjinikolov hit the crossbar of the guests. In the 14th minute, a very controversial ruling of the referee deprived the Canaries of a penalty and saved a red card for a player of Cherno More.
The score was opened in the 25th minute of the match after Christian Hadjinikolov scored the goal of the “sailors”. In the 30th minute, a powerful shot of Martin Georgiev was deflected by the goalkeeper of Cherno More Georgi Monev.
After the break, the pressure of the Botevists continued. In the 57th minute, a great raid of Nikola Strehin, who outran three players of Cherno More made the score 2:0 in favor of Botev. Until the end of the match the “sailors” could not find their way to Deniz Rusev’s goal.
“Canaries” led by Daniel Spasov and Borislav Karamatev recorded their third consecutive success in the championship after in the previous rounds they achieved victories over CSKA 1948 in Plovdiv with 2:1 and Etar (Veliko Tarnovo) with 1:0 in Tarnovo.
In the provisional standings the Canaries are in 6th place after 11 games played and 17 points. After the break in the elite championship, Botev visited Slavia. The duel is on November 4 in the capital.
