Botev (Plovdiv) signed central defender Siriky Diabate. The 192-centimeter defender is the fourth new addition during the winter break for Dusan Kerkez’s squad.
Born in 2002 Diabate signs a long-term contract with the “yellow-blacks”. He landed at the “Hristo Botev” stadium with a transfer from the French team Amiens.
The Ivorian had a successful trial at the club, during which he managed to convince head coach Dusan Kerkez that he had the qualities to be part of the representative team. Diabate will play with the number 27 on his back.
Artur Platek, Sporting Director of PFC Botev said:
“A young and talented centre-back who has been on 3 trials with our team, including the camp in Turkey. During these trial periods and friendly matches against good opponents, Siriky has shown the qualities and zest to play in our team – he has good qualities on the ball, he is good in tackles, but of course as a young player he needs to learn a lot more. We made this transfer without a transfer fee and we want to give Siriky a chance. Good luck Siriky in the yellow-black shirt!”
Botev Plovdiv FC welcomes Siriky Diabate and wishes him health and much success with the “yellow-black” club!
