The 22-year-old full-back Andrey Yordanov has signed with Botev (Plovdiv). He last played for Pirin (Blagoevgrad), and in his career he was part of Krumovgrad, CSKA 1948, Tsarsko Selo, Litex and CSKA. In March, Yordanov received his debut call-up for the Bulgarian national team.
“Today we proudly welcome Andrey Yordanov to Botev Plovdiv. During the first part of the 2023/24 season, we watched Andrei live in a large number of matches and were impressed by his performance. He has a very interesting profile as a left full-back, and his recent call-up to the Bulgarian national team confirms the qualities we observed in the autumn,” said Botev’s sporting director Artur Platek. “We see great qualities and potential in Andrey. His transfer will add new energy to our squad. We believe he will continue to develop and have great success with us.”
Botev (Plovdiv) welcomes Andrey Yordanov and wishes him much success in the “yellow-black” jersey.
Yordanov is the fifth player to join the “Canaries” in the summer transfer window after Alexa Maras, Alain Korošets, Hans Christian Bernat and Anthony Ujah.
