Botev Plovdiv defeated Lokomotiv in Sofia with 1-0 and with 4-1 on aggregate eliminated the red-black team at the semi-final of the Bulgarian Cup and will play at the final. The Canaries were careful due to the advantage from the first game, and didn’t rush to attack their opponent.
The goalkeeper Adam Stachovyak made 2 important saves before The Canaries had the opportunity to score from a penalty – after a defender of Lokomotiv Sofia stopped the ball with his hands in the penalty area. Yunes Hamza scored the goal and send Botev to the finals for the first time in 19 years.
Botev Plovdiv will play against the champions Ludogorets Razgrad, who eliminated Lokomotiv Plovdiv with 2-1 on agg. The final is in the mid of May at Lazur Stadium in Burgas.
